Kids Korner is a ministry of Guntersville First Methodist Church. At Kids Korner, your child will not only receive excellent and loving care from a community of experienced, credentialed teachers, but will also experience excellent early childhood education. This education will set your child up for academic, social, and emotional success for the future.  Above all, we want for your child to experience the love of Jesus through our teachers and staff.

We use the ABeka curriculum in all classes starting in the Waddler room.  With ABeka, every subject is taught with a scriptural foundation.  ABeka curriculum is developed by teachers, using tried and true teaching methods.  Students who graduate from Kids Korner are well prepared for entry into public school.

Safety

As parents, we know how important safety is when you are leaving your child in someone else's care.  Our building is very secure.  All exterior doors have mag-locks and restricted key-card access. Each classroom and hallway is equipped with security cameras.  We have an excellent relationship with local law enforcement, the fire department and we also partner with the local EMA.

At Kids Korner, we strive for excellence.  We understand that you work hard for your money and want excellent care for your child.  Your tuition includes breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack, as well as all school supplies for the year.  You never have to worry about purchasing crayons, glue, pencils, tissue, or cleaning supplies.  We open at 6:00 am and close at 6:00 pm to accommodate many different work schedules.  Kids Korner uses the best childcare management software available.  HiMama allows you to have real-time communication with teachers, as well ad updates on what and how your child is doing throughout the day.

We know that you are looking for more than a babysitting service.  The teachers at Kids Korner are well trained and experienced.  We are proud to offer classes led by credentialed teachers.  We have three certified teachers on staff, and several of our teachers have obtained a CDA.  Many of our teachers have years of childcare experience and training.  Our teachers are trained in ABeka curriculum.  Each teacher must be CPR certified, pass multiple background checks, and provide a letter of recommendation from her pastor.  Kids Korner teachers are required to maintain 12 hours of Continuing Education Units each school year.
